Man in Tanay Loses His Life After Being Stabbing w/ Banana Cue Stick

A man loses his after being beaten and stabbed with a banana cue stick during a violent confrontation in Barangay Kay-buto, Tanay, Rizal.

Based on the investigation by the Tanay Municipal Police, the conflict reportedly started days earlier. Tension grew after the victim allegedly ordered one of the suspects, a 28-year-old tricycle driver, to secure a motorcycle chain.

The victim and the suspect’s 50-year-old father crossed paths along Macarulay Street. The heated exchange quickly escalated into a violent clash. Authorities said the victim was armed with a bladed weapon, while the older suspect carried a banana cue stick.

During the struggle, the son rushed in to help his father, and the situation spiraled out of control.

The victim suffered deep stab wounds to the neck and chest. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The father and son were also injured during the fight, sustaining wounds to different parts of their bodies.

The suspects claimed they were only trying to defend themselves, saying the father acted to protect his son. Despite this claim, authorities filed murder charges against them as the investigation continued.
