House Panel Rules 2 Impeachment Complaints vs. Marcos Jr. Insufficient in Substance
MARCOS JR. IMPEACHMENT COMPLAINTS
– The House of Representatives junked the two (2) impeachment raps filed against the President.
Two (2) impeachment complaints were filed against Pres. Bongbong Marcos before the Office of the Secretary General of the House of Representatives. In the first complaint, the President is accused of alleged betrayal of public trust over several grounds.
The first impeachment complaint against the President was penned by lawyer Andre de Jesus. It was endorsed by Deputy Minority Leader at

Respondent ordered and enabled the kidnapping and surrender of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Respondent is unfit to serve as President due to drug addiction.
Respondent committed betrayal of public trust when he failed to veto unprogrammed appropriations (UA) and other unconstitutional provisions in the General Appropriations Bill (GAB).
Respondent engaged in graft and corruption through kickbacks and ghost projects.
Respondent created the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to shield corrupt allies.
Respondent violated the Constitution and betrayed public trust by surrendering former President Duterte to the ICC.
The House of Representatives
justice panel previously ruled that the first impeachment complaint against Marcos Jr. is sufficient in form
. It made the same ruling on the second impeachment rap against the President.
Malacañang claimed that multiple times that the President is ready to face any impeachment complaint that may be filed against him. According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, the President is confident he did not do anything wrong nor committed an impeachable offense.
Recently, House Committee on Justice decided on the sufficiency of the substance of the impeachment complaints against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on a report on PhilStar, the panel junked the two (2) impeachment raps against Marcos Jr. for “insufficiency in substance”.
On the first impeachment rap against the President, 42 administration lawmakers voted to junk the impeachment complaint filed against Marcos Jr. Only its endorser, Rep. Jernie Jett Nisay, and three (3) members of the
Makabayan
bloc abstaining from making a vote.
In the second impeachment complaint, 39 members of the justice panel voted against the motion to declare the rap sufficient in substance. Based on the
