China To PH over Territorial Dispute: “If we want to fight, we would have done that earlier”

Ambassador of China Speaks on Territorial Feud with PH

China Ambassador Jing Quan spoke on resolving territorial dispute with the Philippines over the West Philippine Sea.

Despite the Arbitral Ruling in 2016 which sided on the Philippines, the Chinese government continued to assert its claims on the West Philippine Sea. It even reportedly built structures on the disputed territories.

However, unfortunately, there were also reported incidents of Chinese water cannons allegedly firing at the Philippine vessels. There were also previous claims that the vessels of China supposedly block the Philippine vessels that were sent to deliver supplies.

“We can just [declare a] ceasefire muna habang ongoing ang negotiations at dialogue diyan po sa COC, lalo na po’t tinatapos pa ang Code of Conduct,”

the Senator said.

Recently, the ambassador of China, Jing Quan, spoke on resolving the territorial dispute between the Philippines and his country. Based on a report on PhilStar, he stressed that no one wants a fight.

“In my view, there are four ways to deal with it. No one wants to fight. If we want to fight, we would have done that earlier,”

the Ambassador of China said.
