– The Senate President revealed the plan of the majority to make Senator Loren Legarda as the Senate president before the 20th Congress ends.

Recently, amid the several issues in the Philippines that has undeniably earned divided opinions from the government officials, there are rumors that there will be a change of leadership in the Senate. The rumors came amid the talks about the possibility of a charter change or cha-cha.

Several senators recently downplayed the idea of a change in the leadership of the Senate. Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson initially slammed the narratives that dragged Sen. Loren Legarda into the Senate power issue.

the Senate President said.

Recently, Senate Pres. Tito Sotto revealed that the majority has the plans to make Sen. Loren Legarda Senate chief before the end of the 20th Congress. Any senator who has 13 votes for the position will become the Senate president.

There was a long break before the Senate resumed its session. Upon its resumption, Senate Majority Leader Miguel Zubiri took the floor while Sen. Loren Legarda took the podium which is usually either taken by Senate Pres. Tito Sotto or Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson.
