Cellphone Technician Nabbed Over Leaked Explicit Files of Minor
CELLPHONE TECHNICIAN – What started as a simple cellphone repair allegedly turned into a traumatic ordeal for a 17-year-old girl after her private photos and videos were reportedly leaked online.
A 22-year-old cellphone technician was arrested in Jabonga, Agusan del Norte, for allegedly spreading explicit photos and videos of a 17-year-old girl who had previously sought his services to repair her mobile phone.
Authorities identified the suspect as the person behind the circulation of the sensitive materials online. He was apprehended at his residence during an operation conducted by the Philippine National Police Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit–Caraga (RACU-13). According to reports, the suspect did not resist arrest when officers served the warrant.

Initial findings revealed that the victim had approached the suspect to have her cellphone repaired after it malfunctioned. Investigators believe this may have given the technician access to the personal files stored on the device.
RACU-13 Chief Police Colonel Lemuel Gonda said they secured a digital warrant to examine the suspect’s electronic devices and verify the allegations against him. The forensic analysis of these gadgets is ongoing as authorities work to gather more evidence related to the case.
Police further disclosed that the suspect’s own parents were reportedly unaware that he already had a child. Investigation suggests that the suspect, who is a nursing student, may have feared being forced to stop his studies if his family found out about his child. Authorities are looking into whether this personal circumstance may have influenced his actions.
