– The Sandiganbayan junked the plea of former Senator to be transferred from the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas to Camp Crame.

Amid the flood control investigation in the Philippines, several government officials were tagged in thee supposed massive corruption. It left countless Filipinos calling for accountability from the government.

The flood control scam triggered the so-called “Trillion Peso March”. Thousands of Filipinos joined the street protest to rally against corruption last September and November.

Several members of the House of Representatives as well as officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) were tagged in the flood control mess. Some senators and former senators were also implicated in the issue. One of them is former Sen. Bong Revilla.

In the first month of 2026, arrest warrants against former Sen. Bong Revilla and several others were released by the Sandiganbayan over the supposed ghost flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan. The other subjects of the arrest warrants were:

former DPWH Bulacan First District Engineering Office (DEO) assistant district engineer Brice Hernandez

former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Jaypee Mendoza

former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Arjay Domasig

former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Emelita Juat

former DPWH Bulacan First DEO finance section chief Juanito Mendoza, at

DPWH Bulacan First District Engineering Office cashier Christina Pineda

Former Sen.

Bong Revilla was ordered detained at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas

. His camp appealed for his transfer to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame. The authorities assured that there will be no special treatment for the former Senator.
