Family, Supporters of Former Sen. Bong Revilla Calls for Justice
BONG REVILLA
– The former Senator arrived at the Sandiganbayan for the arraignment and the pre-trial of the flood control charges against him.
After the Sandiganbayan junked his plea to be transferred to Camp Crame, former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla remains detained at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas. The former Senator is one of the accused in the supposed multi-million “ghost” flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.
Here are the other accused that were also issued an arrest warrant against by the Sandiganaban;
former DPWH Bulacan First District Engineering Office (DEO) assistant district engineer Brice Hernandez
former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Jaypee Mendoza
former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Arjay Domasig
former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Emelita Juat
former DPWH Bulacan First DEO finance section chief Juanito Mendoza, at
DPWH Bulacan First District Engineering Office cashier Christina Pineda
After the Sandiganbayan issued an arrest warrant against him, former Sen. Bong Revilla volunteered to surrender himself to the authorities. He was brought to Sandiganbayan and was even accompanied by his wife, Cavite 2nd District Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla, and his ‘friend’, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
Remulla earned criticisms over his gesture. The DILG Secretary defended himself saying that he did not hide that he and Revilla are friends and him accompanying the former Senator to the anti-graft court is his “last act of friendship” for him.

Former Sen. Revilla ran under the senatorial slate of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the 2025 Midterm Elections but he lost. He was also one of the accused in the controversial Pork Barrel Fund scam and the recent accusations earned him a lot of criticisms.
During a recent prayer rally for the former Senator, his wife, Cavite Cong.
Lani Mercado, was emotional as she spoke about the decision of former Sen. Bong Revilla to surrender
to the authorities. She stressed that her husband is innocent from the accustaions.
“Masakit at higit sa lahat nakakagalit na masilayan ang aming mahal na ama, ang aking mahal na asawa sa kanyang pinagdaraanan ngayon sapagka’t ang kanyang pagdurusa ay hindi bunga ng pagsuko sa isang kasalanan kundi isang pagsuko sa sistemang pumayag sa kawalan ng hustisya, sa kawalan ng tunay na katarungan kung saan ang inosente ay pinipiit at binubusalan,”
Mercado-Revilla said.
