Lani Mercado on Bong Revilla’s arrest,
Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado has this to say about the arrest of her husband, former senator Bong Revilla.

Bong Revilla previously surrendered
due to his alleged involvement in the flood control scandal. He is still detained after he turned himself in when Sandiganbayan’s Third Division released a warrant of arrest and a hold departure order against him and other individuals.

Revilla is detained at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas
, and recently, an ecumenical prayer rally for truth and justice was held for him at the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite. This was attended by his wife, Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado, and sons, Agimat Partylist Rep. Bryan Revilla and Cavite 1st District Rep. Jolo Revilla.
In her speech, his wife spoke about his arrest, who aired how hard it is to go on without him and how hard it is to see him in his current situation. It was a heavy blow to their hearts and emotions, but with the support they are receiving, they were able to face it.
“Isang malakas na dagok sa aming puso at damdamin. Ngunit, dahil po sa inyong pagmamahal na pinapakita ngayong gabi–– sa inyong suporta at panahon na inuukol sa gabing ito–– kaya namin harapin. Kayang harapin ni Sen. Bong Revilla ang patuloy na pagpukon ng mga maling akusasyon laban sa kanya,”
she said.
She then maintained that her husband is innocent, and this is what they are holding on to tightly. Many have advised them that he should hide, but with the belief that he is not involved in any way, he surrendered and bravely faced the accusations.
