Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Says Philippines Allegedly Too Drowned in Negative Circumstances

– The Vice President was asked about her possible presidential race versus Naga Mayor Leni Robredo and Senator Risa Hontiveros in 2028.
More than two (2) years ahead of the 2028 Elections, there are already names of possible presidential bets in the next polls crossing the surface. Some surveys also revealed the frontrunners among the possible candidates in the next elections. Undeniably, Vice Pres. Duterte is one of those whose name is usually in the results of surveys.

Previously, amid the rumors, calls, and speculations, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that her father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, is ready to support and campaign for her if she decides to run for president in the next election. The former Chief Executive remains detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands since March 2025.
The elder Duterte is faced with allegations of crimes against humanity over the controversial war on drugs of his administration. The Duterte siblings take turn in visiting their father in The Hague amid his ICC detention.
“Unang una ang tanong meron pa bang bayan, meron pa bang Pilipinas na pag-uusapan sa taong 2028? Eh lubog na tayo sa basura, sa baha, sa lahat ng economic indicators, kahit sa korupsyon lubog na tayo,”
