goes beyond flowers and chocolates. At the core, this day is extra as love is expressed through action with appreciation, kindness, and meaningful connection.
As much as we all know, the president has been married to First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos for over 30 years. In their journey, he learned that compromise and understanding are the keys to a lasting relationship.
“Dapat nagbibigayan lang at nagkakaunawaan ang mag-asawa. Hindi puwedeng ‘my way or no way,’ dahil kapag ganoon, may isang laging malungkot. Kaya bigayan lang,”
he said.
For the youth, he expressed,
“Enjoy yourselves. Enjoy each other’s company. It is rare to find someone… who you have a very nice time together,” he said. “Bumalik tayo doon sa konsepto ng friendship… Once you have found it and it’s Valentine’s Day, enjoy it to the fullest. It is a lovely feeling.”
