On Monday, December 1, 2025, the House of Representatives suspended Cong. Kiko Barzaga, without pay, based on the article in PEP. Barzaga was found guilty of disorderly conduct on his social media posts. He was also ordered to delete these posts within 24 hours.

His actions reflected negatively upon the dignity, integrity, and reputation of the House of Representatives as an institution of the members of the House individually and collectively,”

4P’s Party-list Representative JC Abalos, chairman of the Committee on Ethics and Privileges, said.

Abalos also said,

“Consequently, the committee finds respondent, Rep. Kiko Barzaga of the 4th district of Cavite guilty of disorderly behavior by violating Sec. 141 (a) Rule 20 of the Rules of House of Representatives, 4(c) of RA 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.”

He added that they will impose a harsher punishment on Barzaga if he repeats the mistake he made.

Even though Cong. Kiko Barzaga accepted his punishment; he maintained that PBBM must be held accountable for his alleged crimes.
