Delivery Rider Dies After Motorcycle Collision in Quezon City
A delivery rider lost his life after being hit by another motorcycle rider who beat the red light in Quezon City.
On early Tuesday morning, December 2, 2025, a tragic accident claimed the life of a 34-year-old delivery rider after two motorcycles collided at the intersection of Aurora Boulevard and Anonas Street in Quezon City.
The incident happened just past 1 a.m., a time when the roads are usually quiet but can still be dangerous for motorists.
CCTV footage from the area showed the strong impact between the two motorcycles. The force of the collision threw both riders off their bikes, leaving them lying on the road as nearby bystanders rushed to call for help.
According to the Quezon City Police District Traffic Sector 3, the 28-year-old rider involved in the crash was driving along Aurora Boulevard, while the victim was making a left turn toward Anonas Street.
Police said the rider coming from Marikina went through the intersection despite the red light, which caused the collision. The violation turned a routine ride into a fatal accident.
Both riders were quickly brought to the hospital. Unfortunately, the 34-year-old delivery rider did not survive his injuries. The younger rider, who caused the impact, is now recovering in the hospital.
