Independent Commission for Infrastructure Releases Names Involved In Flood Control Issues

Officials and politicians tagged by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure in the scandal.

On Wednesday, the Independent Commission for Infrastructure recommended filing charges against these individuals.

The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) was created by President

Bongbong Marcos

to investigate the flood control issues. On Wednesday, ICI chairperson Justice Andres Reyes Jr. said the commission has recommended the filing of charges against several personalities and politicians.

Revilla was among the personalities tagged by former Bulacan First District Engineer Henry Alcantara in his sworn statement last September. Alcantara alleged that Revilla and other senators and House members received payoffs from their insertions in the national budget. Maynard Ngu, meanwhile, was alleged bagman of Senator Chiz Escudero.

The testimony of former DPWH undersecretary Roberto Bernardo was used as a basis for the commission’s recommendation to the Office of the Ombudsman.

INDIVIDUALS WHO MAY FACE ADDITIONAL CHARGES BASED ON NEW EVIDENCE:

Former Secretary Manuel Bonoan

Former Usec. Catalina Cabral

Former Usec. Roberto Bernado

Former Congressman Zaldy Co

Commissioner Mario Lipana

Henry Alcantara

Brice Hernandez

Jaypee Mendoza

INDIVIDUALS THAT ICI RECOMMENDS TO BE REFERRED TO THE OMBUDSMAN FOR FURTHER REVIEW AND CASE BUILD-UP:

Senator Chiz Escudero
