Manny V. Pangilinan owns TV5, and ABS-CBN allegedly has not paid his company yet.
TV5 is the broadcast network owned by media mogul Manny V. Pangilinan, and eversince the shutdown of ABS-CBN, his channel has opened its doors for collaboration. The partnership has lasted for years and aired several Kapamilya shows.
Among the shows produced by the Kapamilya company aired in the Kapatid network included “
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo
,” “The Iron Heart,” “Dirty Linen,” “Everybody Sing,” and “ASAP Natin ‘To.”
Based on the statement, TV5 stated:
TV5 formally demanded payment of ₱946.16 million as of October 30, 2025, and stressed ABS-CBN’s non-remittance. Moreover, TV5 alleged that the “payment-plan discussions” were nothing more than a “ploy to delay.”
“When we were finalizing the terms of the settlement agreement and payment plan, we received an email from ABS-CBN stating that you cannot comply with the payment schedule that we were discussing. Furthermore, there is no indication of any future payments,”
