Suspected Thief Injured After Being Attacked by Dog During Robbery Attempt
A suspected thief was attacked by a dog after attempting to rob an establishment in Bgy. San Manuel PPC, Negros Oriental.
According to reports, the suspect was identified as Anghelo Natural, a resident of Negros Oriental. He allegedly tried to break into an establishment in Barangay San Manuel and another area across the road in Barangay Tiniguiban around 2:25 in the morning of December 7, 2025.
However, the establishments were guarded by dogs. After noticing the intrusion, the dogs chased him as he tried to escape.
Members of the Anti-Crime Task Force responded after receiving a call about a possible break-in. When they arrived at the scene, they found Anghelo lying on the road with several dog bite wounds on his body.
It was reported that he managed to run at first but was eventually caught and attacked by the dogs.
The establishments involved were owned by Mariano, 52, from Barangay Tiniguiban, and Rayfil, 35, and Samuel, 46, both from Barangay San Manuel. Thankfully, no items were stolen from any of the places that were entered.
Authorities recovered a cellphone and a wallet from the suspect, which were confirmed to be his personal belongings. The owners of the establishments decided to file a complaint, and Anghelo was turned over to the Barangay San Manuel Hall where the incident was officially recorded.
As of this writing, the suspect is under barangay custody.
