– The Senate Minority Senator revealed his advice to fellow Sen. Bato dela Rosa amid a reported arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against him.

. According to him, the foreign court has supposedly released the arrest warrant long ago but it is only recently that the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) have allegdly received it.

The claim of Roque came a few weeks after Ombudsman Boying Remulla claimed that the ICC has supposedly issued an arrest warrant against Sen. Bato dela Rosa. He was a former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief under the tenure of former Pres. Duterte.

Duterte remains detained under the custody of the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands since March. The foreign court recently junked his interim release plea. It was last March 11 when the former President was arrested by the Philippine authorities who assisted the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).

On the same day that he was arrested, Duterte was flown out of the country en route for The Hague for the transfer of his custody to the ICC. The foreign court also junked his camp’s challenge to its jurisdiction.
