PAOLO DUTERTE
– The Davao Congressman assured that the fund for his trips to 17 countries will come from his personal money.
The Philippines is facing a lot of issues now most especially the supposed massive corruption in the government. Several congressmen and officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) as well as some senators and former senators were tagged in the flood control mess. It triggered the “Trillion Peso March”.

The “Trillion Peso March” was held last September 21 and November 30. The flood control probe is currently led by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure. Amid the issue, the ICI has invited several government officials to its probe.
However, Davao Cong.
Paolo Duterte refused to attend the flood control investigation of the ICI
. According to him, the commission should allegedly probe President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his family as well as former House Speaker Martin Romualdez instead.

Duterte claimed that the ICI was formed under an executive order. He emphasized the separation of powers which allegedly shows that the commission has no power and jurisdiction over him.
