Atty. Claire Castro of Malacañang Asked about Travel Clearance Request of Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte
Malacañang reacted to the looming 2-month trip of Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte abroad, thus, he asked for a Travel Clearance.
The Philippine government is currently hurled with several issues after several congressmen and some senators were tagged in the flood control mess. The Independent Commission for Infrastructure’s flood control probe is ongoing.
Recently, Davao Cong.
Paolo Duterte declined to attend the flood control investigation of the ICI
. According to him, the commission was established under an executive order citing the separation of powers.
Duterte argued that the ICI has no jurisdiction and power over him. According to him, the commission should investigate President Bongbong Marcos, his family, and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez instead.
