A fur mom was admired and praised online after saving her pet dogs while they were inside a burning building in Mandaue City, Cebu.
The fire happened on Wednesday morning, December 10, 2025, and quickly filled the building with thick, dark smoke, making the situation extremely dangerous.
The fur mom was identified as Eimeilee Maningo. Instead of thinking only of her own safety, she focused on rescuing her dogs who were trapped inside the burning building. Despite the heavy smoke surrounding the area, she carefully worked to bring her pets to safety.
As the fire grew stronger, Maningo moved to the balcony with her dogs. With flames nearby and visibility low, she made a brave and difficult decision. One by one, she lowered and dropped her dogs down, trusting people below to catch them safely.
Each moment was filled with fear and urgency, yet she remained calm enough to make sure all her pets were saved.
Witnesses said she did not rush to save herself first. Her attention stayed on her dogs until she was certain they were out of danger. Only after making sure all her pets were safe did she finally climb down herself. Thankfully, she was reported to be in stable condition after the incident.
