Amid the archiving of the impeachment case against the Vice President, Senate President
Tito Sotto and Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson assured that they will revive the Duterte’s impeachment complaint if the SC changes its ruling
. Motions for reconsideration were filed over the decision of the court.
According to the Supreme Court, the impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte violates the one-year rule ban. The court also said that a fresh impeachment complaint may only be filed against the Vice President starting February 6, 2025.
However, recently, a member of the House of Representatives confirmed that they might refile an impeachment case against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Recently, her father’s former spokesman, Harry Roque, reacted to the said remarks.
