Statement of Malacañang on Marcos Jr.’s Promise over Flood Control Mess
Malacañang spoke on the vow of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. that flood control culprits will be jailed before Christmas.
Amid the holiday season in the Philippines,
Marcos Jr. did not only ordered the government agencies to hold simple Christmas and year-end celebrations
. He also vowed that many individuals who are guilty in the supposed flood control corruption will not have a merry Christmas.
According to
Marcos Jr., many individuals who are guilt in the flood control mess will be jailed before Christmas
. He also warned the people that there are consequences for those who will help the individuals who are subjects of arrest warrants in hiding from the authorities.
The supposed multi-billion flood control corruption left countless Filipinos disappointed. It triggered the so-called “Trillion Peso March” that gathered thousands of people last September 21 and November 30 to call for an end to corruption in the country.
