Bicam Approves P889.2 Million Fund for Office of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte amid the Budget Process

– The bicameral conference committee approved the P889.2 million budget for the Office of the Vice President.
The bicameral conference committee is currently tackling the national budget for 2026. Senate Finance Committee chairman Sherwin Gatchalian confirmed that they are not on schedule after the issue with regards to the request of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon asked the bicam to restore P45 billion of the budget cut
from the agency’s initial proposal. According to the Public Works Chief, around 10,000 projects may not be pushed through if the request won’t be granted.
