Honest Farmer in Northern Samar Earns Praise for Returning Lost Bag With Cash & Expensive Watches

An honest farmer earns praise and admiration online after returning a lot bag containing cash and expensive watches in Northern Samar.

The farmer was identified as Pobleo Narca, a 53-year-old resident of Barangay Olares. He found the bag lying along the road on Sunday while going about his daily routine. The bag held P60,000 in cash along with a cellphone, a passport, and two expensive watches worth around P111,000.

Instead of keeping the items or ignoring them, Narca chose to do what he felt was right. He immediately brought the bag to the Laoang Municipal Police Station so it could be returned to its rightful owner.

Sharpe explained that the bag had fallen from the top of their vehicle while they were traveling, and she did not immediately notice it was missing.

Thanks to Narca’s honesty and the quick action of the police, all the items were safely returned. The incident brought relief to the owner and earned praise from many who learned about the farmer’s good deed.

According to the chief of the Laoang Municipal Police Station, Pobleo Narca will be given a commendation and a small token of appreciation for his honesty. The local government of Laoang also plans to recognize him with a separate commendation and gift as a way of thanking him for setting a good example.

Narca’s action

shows that true character is revealed through choices, especially when no one is watching.
