LTO revokes the driver’s license of the Hilux driver in a viral video.
VIRAL HILUX DRIVER – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has revoked the driver’s license of the pick-up truck driver.
Previously, the
Land Transportation Office
(LTO) had released a show cause order to the man driving a car after he was caught on video hurting a man in front of his minor child. As per the show cause order, “the driver’s license of the driver operating the subject motor vehicle shall be placed under ninety (90) day preventive suspension, which shall be surrendered immediately upon proper identification, pending investigation of this case.”
LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao also warned that the drive may possibly face license revocation.
Just days after, a statement regarding the matter was released. The driver has gone to the LTO office in compliance with a show-cause order (SCO) issued against him. After a thorough investigation, the LTO has come up with a decision to permanently revoke the driver’s license of the said pick-up driver.
This was LTO’s released formal resolution to this case.
The pushcart owner also attended the hearing, along with his daughter. The man added that the driver smelled alcohol at that moment. The pick-up driver admitted that he made a mistake. He asked for forgiveness, but the agency pushed through in holding him accountable.
LTO chief Markus Lacanilao stressed that they will “not tolerate any form of violence and irresponsible behavior on the road.” The damage has been done already, and he urged the driver to accept the consequences of his behavior. The driver may still appeal, but this will be subject to the LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division.

and apologized for his behavior.
