E-Bike Driver Spends P20,000 Winnings on Illegal Drugs
An e-bike driver in Cebu City landed in serious trouble after winning P20,000 from an online scatter game and spending all of it on illegal drugs.
The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday, December 17, 2025, around 12:30 a.m., in Sitio Villa Caimito, Barangay Inayawan.
Police identified the suspect as Elvin Ligan Brady, 43 years old, a resident of the area. According to authorities, instead of using his winnings for his family or daily needs, Brady bought illegal drugs and allegedly used it nonstop for three straight days.
His behavior soon became alarming and dangerous, causing fear among his family members and neighbors.
Because of this, they immediately sought help from the police to prevent the situation from getting worse.

Police officers from the Inayawan Police Station responded to the scene and found Brady outside his house. He was visibly unstable and appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
When officers tried to approach him, he resisted arrest and refused to cooperate, forcing the police to restrain him.
Authorities later learned from his family that Brady had recently won P20,000 from scatter. Instead of sharing or saving the money, he allegedly spent it all on illegal drugs. Police said the heavy drug use affected his mental state and led to his uncontrollable actions.
Brady was brought to the Inayawan Police Station and is now facing charges of alarm and scandal, along with disobedience to a person in authority. Police reminded the public about the dangers of illegal drugs and gambling, stressing how these can quickly destroy lives, families, and communities.
